In the iPhone 13 generation launched last year, Apple first introduced ProMotion screen technology with 120Hz refresh rate on iPhone, but only 2 versions Pro and Pro Max are equipped with this technology, 2 versions Standard and mini will still have the traditional 60Hz OLED screen.
However, new reports reveal that in this year’s iPhone 14 generation, all 4 versions will have ProMotion screens. This information was shared by analyst Jeff Pu of security company Haitong.
Specifically, iPhone 14 including iPhone 14 mini, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro will all have ProMotion screens with variable refresh rates from 10 – 120Hz. Of course, the screen size will be different, most likely the same, including 5.4 inches, 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches.
In addition, Jeff Pu also revealed that all four new iPhone models have 6GB of RAM, with storage starting from 64GB for iPhone 14 mini and iPhone 14, 256GB for iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. Previous information also revealed that the Pro line may have an additional 2TB memory option.
Another notable information about this year’s iPhone 14 Pro series is that Apple will equip the main camera of the device with a sensor with 48MP resolution. This information was previously revealed by “co-man” Ming-Chi Kuo, who specializes in accurate predictions about Apple’s upcoming product lines.
iPhone 14 no longer has a “rabbit ears” screen?
This is an information that has been leaked quite a lot in the past, there are even many render images showing us how Apple will design the Face ID cluster placed inside a “pill” shaped area. This type of screen design is a popular trend on Android smartphones in the past few years. So with the new design, Apple has completely removed the “rabbit ears” on the iPhone after 5 years since the iPhone X was introduced.
iPhone 14 series is expected to launch at Apple’s annual September event.
