Today (April 11), Vivo has just launched its first folding screen smartphone, the full name is Vivo X Fold. Besides, the Chinese manufacturer also introduced Vivo X Note and Vivo Pad tablet in this event.
Vivo X Fold has an inward folding design similar to the Galaxy Z Fold3. In other words, the main screen of the device will be hidden when in the folded state. At this point, users can access applications and read notifications through the secondary screen on the outside.
The back of the device has a circular camera cluster placed in a rather large rectangular module, along with an LED flash and the Zeiss logo. An interesting thing is that this phone is equipped with two ultrasonic fingerprint sensors (on both the main and secondary screens), as well as a vibration switch on the side.
The secondary screen on the outside of Vivo X Fold uses an AMOLED E5 panel, has a size of 6.53 inches, Full HD + resolution and 120Hz refresh rate (2520 x 1080 pixels, 21: 9 ratio, HDR10+ support, gamut). color 100% DCI-P3). Inside is an 8.03-inch AMOLED E5 folding screen, 120Hz LTPO refresh rate (2106 x 1916 pixel resolution, 4:3.55 ratio, HDR10+ support, 113% DCI-P3 color gamut). Both feature a perforated design, earning an A+ rating from DisplayMate.
Vivo X Fold uses UTG (ultra-thin glass) glass, which has been certified for durability in Rheinland’s testing with the ability to fold continuously up to 300,000 times. In other words, even if the user folds the phone 80 times a day, the folding mechanism will still work fine for 10 years.
